The University of Delhi (DU) is one of India’s most prestigious universities, attracting students nationwide for its diverse academic offerings, vibrant campus life, and robust placement opportunities. For the 2025-26 academic session, all undergraduate admissions—including for sought-after programs like Psychology—are conducted exclusively through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Why Choose DU for Undergraduate Studies?
  • Academic Excellence: DU boasts 86 departments, 91 colleges, 16 faculties, and over 7 lakh students, with a legacy of high academic standards and distinguished alumni.
  • Modern Infrastructure: The university offers state-of-the-art laboratories, a vast library system with over 1.7 million books, and a technologically integrated learning environment.
  • Placement Support: Active placement cells facilitate internships and jobs with reputed organizations, including MNCs, NGOs, and government bodies.
  • Co-curricular Opportunities: Students can participate in NCC, cultural festivals, sports, and adventure camps, enhancing their overall development.
Admission Process

1. Register for CUET (UG) 2025

  • All candidates (including those applying under reserved or supernumerary quotas) must register for CUET (UG) 2025 at [cuet.nta.nic.in].
  • Only CUET (UG) scores will be considered for admission to regular undergraduate programs at DU.
  • Foreign nationals, School of Open Learning (SOL), and Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB) admissions have separate processes.

2. Appear in Relevant Subjects

  • Candidates must appear in CUET (UG) subjects that align with those studied in Class XII. If an exact match isn’t available, choose the most closely related subject (at least 50% syllabus overlap required).
  • Example: For B.A. (Hons.) Psychology, you may need to appear in Psychology (if available), English, and other relevant subjects as per the program-specific eligibility.

3. Apply to DU’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS)

  • After CUET results, register on DU’s CSAS (UG) portal (www.admission.uod.ac.in) for seat allocation and counseling.
  • Fill in your program and college preferences during the CSAS application window.

4. Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have passed Class XII from a recognized board in India or an equivalent foreign board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • No minimum age bar for most programs, except where regulatory bodies specify otherwise.
  • Admission is strictly subject to meeting all eligibility requirements as detailed in the DU Bulletin of Information.

5. Reservation and Supernumerary Quotas

  • DU follows Government of India norms for reservations (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, etc.).
  • 10% of supernumerary seats in each program are reserved for foreign nationals.
