What is CUET UG?

Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) is a national-level entrance exam. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is for admission to undergraduate programs in various Central, State, Deemed, and Private universities across India.

Exam Overview

The exam is typically conducted during the month of May each year.

  • Conducting Body: NTA, established under the Ministry of Education as an autonomous testing authority since 2021, administers CUET UG .
  • Exam Mode: Fully Computer-Based Test (CBT), with objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Subjects Offered: Total of 37 papers, comprising:
    • 13 Language Tests
    • 23 Domain‑specific subjects
    • 1 General Aptitude Test
  • Time Allocation: Each paper lasts for 60 minutes, requiring candidates to answer 50 MCQs per subject.
  • Subject Selection: Candidates may choose up to five subjects (combination of languages and/or domain-specific papers plus the General Aptitude Test.

Marking Scheme & Scoring

  • Correct Answer: +5 marks
  • Incorrect Answer: −1 mark (negative marking applies to each wrong response)
  • Unanswered/Marked for Review: 0 marks

Raw Score Calculation can be done with the following method:
(Number of correct answers × 5) − (Number of incorrect answers × 1)

Structure of Common University Entrance Test (UG)

📌 CUET Subject Combination Eligibility for Psychology at University of Delhi

Psychology aspirants applying for B.A. (Hons.) Psychology or B.A. (Hons.) Applied Psychology at University of Delhi must choose their CUET subjects as per the following program-specific combinations:

Program Specific Eligibility: Candidates must appear in CUET (UG) in any one of the following subject combinations:

Combination I: Any one Language from List A (Languages) + Any three subjects from List B (Domain-specific)
OR
Combination II: Any two Languages from List A (Languages) + Any two subjects from List B (Domain-specific)

Merit will be based on the best CUET score obtained from any of the above-mentioned combinations of subjects.
