About the University
Sikkim University presently located at Gangtok, the capital town of Sikkim operates from several hired buildings located along NH-10. The main administrative office of the University is located at Samdur, 6th Mile, Tadong. The permanent campus of the University is coming up at Yangang in South Sikkim. The nearest airport and railway station are Bagdogra and New Jalpaiguri respectively. Currently the University offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs distributed among the following schools of studies, each encompassing related departments.

About the Campus
- The campus offers free bus transport connecting academic blocks, library, hostels, and the health center. Four buses run throughout the semester, including weekends and holidays.
- There’s a gymnasium open six days a week, equipped with modern fitness equipment and managed by male and female instructors.
- Students benefit from a high-speed Wi‑Fi network called “Campus Connect CUS.” To use it, register with a voucher from your department, authenticate via mobile OTP, then enjoy secure internet on two devices A guest house is available close to the city center, with 1 VIP suite, 2 super-deluxe, and 15 deluxe rooms. It’s Wi‑Fi enabled, secured by CCTV and guards, includes elevators and a dining hall, and can be booked online based on availability.
- The health centre (Charak Health Centre) provides outpatient clinics, emergency services, inpatient care, a dispensary, and ambulance facilities. It’s staffed by medical professionals and accessible to students, staff, and their dependents.
- Student hostels accommodate over 400 students, offering essential facilities to support academic growth and personal development.

Department of Psychology
The department organizes field visits (e.g., industry, hospital); assignment presentation for classroom discussion; video classes; role playing exercise; experiential learning.
The department is equipped with modern technology:
a) Eye tracking device (Tobii) for visual perception study
b) Nexus-10 for biofeedback and neuro-feedback study
c) CANTAB for computerized cognitive assessment.
Plus, wide range of commonly used experimental and testing materials in psychology available at the lab.

Application Procedure
- Candidates with CUET scores must register online for counseling at https://www.cus.ac.in.
- Creating an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID) is compulsory before registration.
- Pay the registration fee online:
- ₹1000 for General
- ₹750 for OBC/EWS
- ₹500 for SC/ST/PwD
- ₹1000 for General
- You can apply for multiple subjects if eligible and have valid CUET scores.
- All online applications will be checked, and a list of shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on the website.
- Admission is based on CUET scores and other eligibility rules.
- Final merit lists will follow the central reservation policy.
- Selected candidates must pay admission fees online and submit documents for verification.
- NSS volunteers with 200+ hours get 5 extra marks.
- Foreign students, EWS, students from J&K/Ladakh, and Sikkim locals have reserved seats as per rules.
- Sports achievers can get up to 10% extra marks on verification.
- 5% of seats are reserved for differently-abled students.
- Lateral entry is allowed for higher semesters in UG/PG (up to 10% seats).
- All selected candidates must submit original documents for verification.
- Failure to take admission within time or missing documents may lead to cancellation.
- Students awaiting results must submit final mark sheets by 30th September 2025.
- Migration certificate must be submitted by 31st October 2025 if coming from another university.
- Admitted UG students will have multiple entry/exit options under NEP 2020.
