About the University

The Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) was founded in 2018 as part of the Government of India’s commitment to the people of Andhra Pradesh during the state’s bifurcation. Located in Ananthapuramu in the Rayalaseema region, CUAP is a rising center of academic excellence in southern India.

Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology was established in 2021 to help students understand and apply psychology in everyday life and careers. The primary goal of the Department is to promote excellence in both teaching and research.The program offers a strong mix of theory and practice, including hands-on training in a modern lab, computerized testing, and two internships as part of the course.The Department has a diverse student population from different parts of the country.

M.Sc. – Applied Psychology	Postgraduate	2 years	Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks from a recognized university.
M.Sc. – Clinical Psychology	Postgraduate	2 years	Bachelor’s degree with Psychology as a core subject in all years, with at least 50% marks from a UGC/AIU-recognized university (India or abroad).
Ph.D. – Psychology	Doctoral	3+ years	Master’s in Psychology/Applied Psychology or allied/relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks as per university norms.

Master of Science – Clinical Psychology

• Duration- 2 years (4 semesters)

• Eligibility: A Bachelor’s degree with Psychology as a core paper in all years of their programme with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks and above from any recognized University in India or abroad recognized by UGC / AIU.

Admission Process

Admission to postgraduate programs at Central University of Andhra Pradesh is based on the CUET-PG entrance exam. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying as merely appearing for CUET-PG does not guarantee admission. The university prepares a merit list based on CUET-PG scores which is then used to shortlist candidates followed by an offline counselling session where physical presence of the shortlisted candidates is mandatory.

  Note : Only programs you are eligible for will be shown.
• Fill in your Academic details like Eligibility criteria, Class 10th, 12th and Graduate details, Year of passing & Percentage
• Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents such as mark sheets, certificates, ID proof, etc.
• Pay the Application Fee
