Mission

The mission objective of DEI is to provide value-based, comprehensive and inter-disciplinary education to evolve a ‘complete person’, i.e., a well-rounded total quality person, whose hallmarks are intellectual strength, emotional maturity, truthfulness, simple living, high moral character, scientific temper, general awareness, interdisciplinary outlook and one who discharges duties and obligations and is capable of giving a fuller response to social and environmental challenges.

Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Dayalbagh Educational Institute began in 1951 and became a full university department in 1981. It offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs with a strong focus on Clinical, Environmental, Cognitive, and Organizational Psychology. The department has an active research culture with over 400 publications and several UGC-funded projects. Students regularly win fellowships, present papers at national and international conferences, and gain practical training in mental health institutes.

Masters Program Overview

  • Admission Process: Admission is determined through CUET scores and/or a personal interview, based on the specific course requirements.
    Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)

  • Eligibility Criteria: Graduate with at least 55% marks in the relevant stream.
  • Reservation policy –  Link
    • Fully compliant with the Government of India norms for reserved categories
    • Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates must appear in the relevant entrance test (CUET, University exam, state exams) to claim reservation.
    • Vacant SC seats can be given to ST candidates and vice versa (interchangeable).
    • Vacant reserved seats will not be allotted to General category candidates.
