Admission Procedure:

Stage 1: Official Website Access

Candidates must visit the official website by searching for Mount Carmel College Bangalore admissions, clicking on the official site, and navigating to the “Admissions” section.


Stage 2: Online Registration

Candidates must register by clicking on “Apply Online” and creating an account using a valid email ID and mobile number. Login credentials will be generated upon successful registration.


Stage 3: Portal Login

Candidates must log in to the application portal using their registered email ID and password to access the application dashboard.


Stage 4: Course Selection

Candidates must select their desired programme, such as BA Psychology (Single Major), or triple majors with Psychology, ensuring the correct subject combination is chosen.


Stage 5: Application Form Completion

Candidates must fill out the application form with accurate personal details, academic information (10th and 12th marks), and contact details.


Stage 6: Document Upload

Candidates must upload required documents, including a passport-size photograph, 10th marks card, 12th marks card (or CBSE Portal screenshots if results are pending), and valid ID proof.


Stage 7: Application Fee Payment

Candidates must pay the application fee through online modes such as UPI, card, or net banking. The fee generally ranges between ₹500–₹1000 (subject to change).


Stage 8: Form Submission

Candidates must review all entered details carefully before submitting the application form and downloading the confirmation receipt for future reference.

Stage 9: Selection and Interview Process

Following the shortlisting process, the candidate would have to undergo an interview process, which would be conducted either online via MS Teams or offline for those in Bangalore. This would involve a personal interview, where the candidate’s grades, school accomplishments, co-curricular activities, strengths and weaknesses, and personality would be assessed.

The subject interview would involve the candidate’s basic knowledge in the field of psychology. The candidate would be expected to have a clear understanding and knowledge of concepts such as personality traits and theories, different kinds of intelligence, the basic definition and branches of psychology, abnormal behaviours such as mental disorders, and social behaviours such as attitudes and conformity.
