Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology

- Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)
- Eligibility:
  - Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with at least 50% marks, or
  - Any Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and a minimum of 24 credit hours in Psychology at the undergraduate level.
- Selection Process: Admission is based on Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET) or valid CUET-PG score.
- Application Fee: ₹600 + applicable service charges.
- Approximate Total Course Fee: ₹33,550–₹33,640.

Admission Process

Candidates who have completed a 3-year Undergraduate (UG) programme can apply for admission under the NEP-based 2-Year PG Programme.

Five-Year Integrated Master of Arts in Psychology (FYIPGP)

The Five-Year Integrated MA in Psychology is designed for students who wish to begin their psychology education immediately after completing Class 12. The programme integrates undergraduate and postgraduate studies into a single course, providing a strong foundation in psychological theories, research, assessment, counselling skills, and practical applications. Students benefit from continuous academic progression, extensive practical exposure, and a comprehensive understanding of psychology over five years.

- Duration: 5 Years (10 Semesters)
- Eligibility: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (any stream/discipline).
- Intake Capacity: 48 regular seats + 2 supernumerary seats.
Admission Process – Five-Year Integrated MA in Psychology (FYIPGP)

Admission to the Five-Year Integrated MA in Psychology (FYIPGP) is conducted through the Assam Higher Education Admission Portal. Candidates who have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) and meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can apply through the centralized admission process.

Admission Highlights:
- Applications must be submitted through the Assam Higher Education Admission Portal.
- Candidates are required to register online to obtain a Login ID and Password.
- After registration, applicants must fill out the Admission-cum-Counselling Form and select Assam Women’s University along with the desired programme.
