About the University
The RGNIYD, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is an Institution of National Importance by the Act of Parliament No. 35/2012 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The RGNIYD was set up in 1993 under the Societies Registration Act, XXVII of 1975. The Institute functions as a think-tank of the Ministry and premier organization of youth-related activities in the country. It works in close cooperation with the NSS, NYKS and other youth organizations in the implementation of training programmes. It has a wide network with various organizations working for the welfare and development of young people and serves as a mentor.

As the apex national agency for youth development, the Institute strives to develop into a globally recognised and acclaimed center of excellence in the field of youth development, fully responsive to the national agenda for inclusive growth, and the needs and aspirations of young people of the country to realize their potentials to create a just society.

About the Campus
RGNIYD is located on a lush green sprawling campus of 43.12 acres at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.
The Institute is well-equipped air-conditioned Conference Halls, Classrooms, Seminar Halls and 500-member capacity Auditorium with latest Audio – Visual equipment.
It has a well-organized and rich library with a large collection of books, journals and CD ROMs.
The Institute has good boarding and lodging facilities in its well-contained hostel and guest houses. The campus also houses the residential quarters for the faculty and staff of the Institute.
Facilities for yoga and indoor and outdoor games are also available to take care of the participants health and recreational needs.
A well-maintained garden of special plants and an excellent landscaping of the institute provides pleasure to all visitors.
M.Sc. Applied Psychology
- Duration – 2 years (4 semesters)
- Eligibility Criteria – B.A./ B.Sc. three years course in Psychology/any Bachelor’s degree with Psychology as one of the subjects for at least four semesters from a recognised University with a minimum of 50% of marks.
- Reservation/ Relaxation as per GOI reservation rules.

Application Procedure
- Candidates who appeared for CUET (PG) 2025 and selected RGNIYD programs can register for admission after the CUET results are declared.
- To apply, register at: https://rgniydcuet.samarth.edu.in/pg/index.php. Admission dates will be announced on the website.
- Only those who register through the above link will be considered for admission based on CUET PG 2025 merit.
- A first selection list will be released program-wise based on CUET scores. More lists may follow if seats remain.
- Make sure you appeared for the CUET PG test for the specific program before registering.
- Admission may be cancelled later if any false or incorrect information is found.
- If you don’t have the required documents, you must upload a handwritten undertaking on plain paper.
- Keep checking the RGNIYD website for updates.
