About the Institution

Ashtavakra Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences and Research (AIRSR) is a leading ISO-certified and “A” rated institute in North Delhi, approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). The institute is dedicated to developing skilled professionals in rehabilitation sciences, special education, audiology, and speech-language pathology for the welfare of persons with disabilities.

AIRSR MA Clinical Psychology (RCI Approved)

The institute offers a two-year, full-time M.A. in Clinical Psychology program that is recognized by RCI and designed to prepare students for professional practice in the field of mental health. This program provides in-depth training in psychological assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, counseling, and research methods.

Students receive both theoretical knowledge and extensive supervised practical training in hospitals, mental health centers, and rehabilitation settings. During the course, they learn to work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, behavioral disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, and other psychological concerns.

• Eligibility Criteria

  Candidates must fulfill either of the following conditions:

  1. 4-year BA/B.Sc. in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates as per Government of India norms).

  OR

  2. 3-year Bachelor’s degree in Psychology plus either:
     • Completion of a 4th-year Bridge Course, or
     • Completion of the first year of a Master’s degree in Psychology with at least 55% marks,

• Selection Process

  Admission is based on the combined performance in the entrance test and personal interview:

  • Entrance Test: 70% weightage
  • Interview: 30% weightage
  • Final Merit: Calculated out of 100 marks

  Candidates are selected according to their overall merit rank.
