The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences focuses on developing critical thinking and a spirit of enquiry by linking individual experiences with broader social realities.   Candidates must have completed Sr. Secondary (10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks along with proficiency in English communication.

  For International Students:
  Applicants must have secured at least 50% in the qualifying examination and should have studied the required pre-requisite subjects for admission into the desired program.

  Admission Through: SUAT Followed by PI

• Ph.D in Psychology

  Programme Duration– Min. 3 Years

  Eligibility Criteria :Candidates must have a minimum 2-year postgraduate (PG) degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a UGC-recognized university.A relaxation of 5% (minimum 50%) is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

  Application & Admission Process :

  1. Fill the online application form.
  2. Confirm programme/specialisation and generate your System ID.
  3. Complete personal & educational details and upload photo, signature, and documents.
  4. Pay the application fee of ₹1500.
  5. Appear for the entrance exam (if applicable) or avail exemption through NET/GATE/SET/UET or equivalent.
  6. Attend the interview.

  Ph.D programmes do not require the SUAT exam.
  However, candidates must go through a separate Ph.D entrance test or qualify via NET/GATE, followed by an interview.
  

• Sharda University Admission Test

  Sharda University Admission Test (SUAT) is a single platform admission test applicable to various programmes at Sharda University.

  SUAT Exam Pattern:

  • Duration: 90 minutes (1.5 hours)
  • Total Questions: 120
  • No Negative Marking

  Sections:

  PG: General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude

  UG (Non-PCM): General Awareness, English Communication, Logical Reasoning, Critical Thinking, Quantitative Aptitude

  SUAT Test Process :

  1. Register online and receive login credentials with slot booking link.
  2. Login and book exam slot (city, centre, date, time).
  3. Report to centre with hall ticket and valid photo ID.
  4. Verification done; login provided to start exam.
  5. Appear for the test.
  6. Results are sent to the university.
  7. Shortlisted candidates are called for PI (and GD for MBA).
  8. Attend PI/GD at campus or regional office.

  Exam Centres :

  • Candidates can appear for SUAT at the Sharda University campus or its regional offices.
  • They also have the option to take the exam from home through a proctored online mode.
