About the Centre of Psychology
The Centre for Psychology, University of Hyderabad (UoH) is part of the School of Medical Sciences and is a well-established academic and research hub in psychology. It offers strong teaching, training, and research programmes, including hands-on laboratory experience in areas like experimental psychology, counselling, behaviour technology, sleep studies, and psychometric assessment. The centre focuses on diverse specializations such as counselling psychology, developmental psychology, health psychology, organisational psychology, positive psychology, and neuropsychology, along with applied areas like stress management and psycho-oncology. M.Sc. (5-Year Integrated) Psychology
- M.Sc. (5-Year Integrated) Psychology (with ExitOptions: B.Sc. Psychology–at the end of three years;B.Sc. (Hons) Psychology–at the end of four years)

- Minimum Qualification: With a minimum of 60% marks at +2 or equivalent in Arts or Sciences.
- Entrance for M.Sc. (5-Year Integrated) Psychology: Admissions through CUET UG
Admission to the 5-Year Integrated M.Sc. Psychology program is based on CUET-UG, where the Core Paper is Psychology (Test Code 324).
Candidates must also appear for the General Aptitude Test (Code 501) and English (Code 101), along with having at least 60% marks in Class 12 (Arts or Science).
The merit list is primarily prepared based on the marks scored in the Psychology paper, while qualifying 45% in the aptitude test is mandatory.Programme Objective

Programme Objective
- To develop a strong and in-depth understanding of psychological concepts.
- To enable critical analysis of theories, evidence-based practices, and applications in psychology.
- To provide hands-on training in counselling skills through simulation laboratories.
- To enhance knowledge of research methodology and statistical techniques in psychology.

Ph.D. Psychology
- Duration: 12 Semesters
- Intakes: 4
- Minimum Qualification: Master’s degree in Psychology with at least 55% marks
- Ph.D. Psychology: UGC-NET (70 marks) and Interview (30 marks)
- The test for admission to Ph.D. in Psychology assesses knowledge in Psychology and Research Methodology (Masters Level). The pattern of the written examination is objective multiple-choice questions.
