About the Department

Department of Psychology, Central University of Punjab (CUP) was established in 2019 under the School of Social Sciences. The department has young and dynamic faculty members with diverse teaching and research experience across different states of India. It offers a 2-year M.A. in Psychology and a Ph.D. programme for students supported by government or non-government fellowships. The Central University of Punjab will conduct the 1st online counselling for PG programmes (2026–27) for CUET-PG qualified candidates, where applicants can register, fill up to 3 programme choices, pay a non-refundable counselling fee, and participate in merit-based seat allotment subject to eligibility and document verification.

Admission Instructions (CUET-PG 2026 based)

  • Admission to M.A./M.Sc. (PG) programmes is based on CUET-PG 2026 merit.
  • Candidates must have appeared in the relevant CUET paper code and meet eligibility criteria before applying.
  • Admission is provisional and confirmed only after document verification/registration.
  • Candidates must keep all original documents ready for verification.
  • Candidates can apply for maximum 3 programme options.
  • Merit list will be prepared based on online counselling registration only.
  • If admission fee is not paid on time, seat will be cancelled automatically and given to next candidate.
  • Seat cancellation/withdrawal must be done only through online portal login.

Admission Steps

  1. Step 1: Visit Admission Portal where candidates go to the official CUP PG admission portal for CUET 2026–27 to begin the application process.
  2. Step 2: Registration is done by new users by entering basic details and creating login credentials.
  3. Step 3: Login to Portal is required using the registered ID and password to access the application form.
  4. Step 4: Fill Application Form by entering personal details, academic qualifications, and CUET-PG information correctly.
  5. Step 5: Upload Documents such as photograph, signature, educational certificates, and category/experience certificates (if applicable) in the required format and size.
  6. Step 6: Select Programme where candidates choose up to three PG programmes based on eligibility.
  7. Step 7: Submit Application after carefully reviewing all entered details.
  8. Step 8: Pay Counselling Fee online according to the candidate’s category to complete registration.
  9. Step 9: Merit List & Result is prepared and displayed based on CUET-PG scores and seat availability.
  10. Step 10: Document Verification & Admission is the final step where selected candidates report with original documents to confirm admission.
