About Sikkim University
Sikkim University is a Central University established in 2007 through an Act of Parliament and is located in Gangtok, Sikkim. The university was founded with the vision of promoting intellectual, academic, and cultural development in the Eastern Himalayan region while providing quality higher education and research opportunities across diverse disciplines. Sikkim University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes through various schools of study and emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, innovation, research, and regional development. Currently operating from multiple campuses in Gangtok, its permanent campus is being developed at Yangang in South Sikkim. Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Sikkim University offers a comprehensive range of academic programmes including BA/BSc, MA/MSc, MPhil, and PhD in Psychology. Located at the EduPSY Building, Indira Bypass, Tadong, Gangtok, the department focuses on both theoretical learning and practical training through field visits, assignment presentations, role-playing exercises, video-based learning, and experiential activities. The department is equipped with advanced research and assessment facilities such as the Tobii Eye Tracking Device for visual perception studies, Nexus-10 for biofeedback and neurofeedback research, and CANTAB for computerized cognitive assessment, along with a well-equipped psychology laboratory containing a variety of experimental and psychological testing materials. Guided by experienced faculty members, the department promotes academic excellence, research, and hands-on learning to prepare students for careers in psychology, mental health, research, education, and related fields.

Application Process
Step 1: Read the Admission Notice and Prospectus carefully to check eligibility, programme details, seat availability, and admission requirements.
Step 2: Visit the relevant online admission portal and register using your basic details.
Step 3: Log in and fill out the application form with personal, academic, and programme-related information.
Step 4: Keep the following documents ready for upload:
- Passport-size photograph (JPEG format, 10–500 KB)
- Signature (JPEG format, 10–500 KB)
- Mark sheets and certificates (JPG/JPEG/PDF format, up to 500 KB)
Step 5: Verify all entered information and uploaded documents carefully before submission.
Step 6: Pay the application fee online through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
