About the University
The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is a relatively young institution, established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act 2009. It’s fully funded by the Government of India and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A++’ Grade. CURAJ’s main campus is located in Kishangarh, Ajmer, Rajasthan, offering a serene and conducive environment for academic pursuits. The university offers a wide array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines, emphasizing interdisciplinary studies and research.
Department of Sports Psychology
The Central University of Rajasthan, under its School of Sports Sciences, and with support from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) of the Government of India, has launched a new Department of Sports Psychology. This department is currently offering a two-year postgraduate program in Sports Psychology.
This program is designed to equip students with the psychological knowledge and skills necessary to enhance the optimal performance and well-being of athletes. Graduates will also be trained to address systemic issues prevalent within sports settings and organizations. The department aims to develop professionals who can apply psychological principles to foster a healthier and more productive environment in the world of sports.
M.A./M.Sc. in Sports Psychology:
- Duration: 2 year
- Eligibility: Bachelors’ Degree in any subject with Psychology as the subject or any in other examination recognised equivalent there to or higher degree with 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate for General category and 45% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
- Admission will be done through CUET PG examination

Ph.D. in sport psychology
Eligibility criteria– Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology/Applied Psychology/Counselling Psychology/Clinical Psychology/OrganizationalBehavior/Industrial Psychology/Psychology or in allied subject with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 5% relaxation in minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST/OBC/PWD.
