About the Department

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University (CSMU) – Department of Clinical Psychology was established in 2025 and is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The department is committed to academic excellence, ethical practice, clinical training, research, and compassionate mental health care. It focuses on psychological assessment, diagnosis, counselling, and therapeutic interventions for various mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, addiction, couple-related issues, sexual dysfunctions, and child and adolescent mental health problems.

    Admission is entrance-based and candidates must qualify both the written entrance examination and interview for final selection.

    The final merit list is prepared with 70% weightage for the written test and 30% weightage for the interview. The entrance examination consists of an MCQ-based written test conducted in English only at the university campus by CSMU.

Admission Process

Step 1 – Online Application
Candidates must fill out the online application form through the official website of CSMU by paying the application fee of ₹1500 and uploading all required educational documents.CLICK HERE

Step 2 – Entrance Test
Eligible candidates will receive a call letter for the MCQ-based written entrance test conducted at the university campus.

Step 3 – Interview
Candidates shortlisted from the written test will be called for an interview. The test and interview will be conducted in English only.

Step 4 – Merit List
The final merit list will be prepared with 70% weightage for the written test and 30% weightage for the interview.

Step 5 – Admission Confirmation
Selected candidates must complete document verification, submit required documents, and pay the full annual fee within the given admission deadline.

Step 6 – Enrolment
After admission confirmation, students must complete the enrolment process by submitting self-attested academic documents with the enrolment form.

Important Note

  • Candidates awaiting final results can apply by submitting a declaration form and must provide the final marksheet/certificate once available.
  • Admission will be cancelled if the candidate does not meet the required eligibility criteria or submits false academic documents.
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded in such cases.
  • If seats remain vacant after the admission deadline, waitlisted candidates will be offered admission based on merit.
  • The mentioned programme fees will be applicable for each year of study for students admitted in the academic session 2026–27.
  • Expenses related to field training and practical exposure must be borne by the students separately. The complete annual/semester fee must be paid at the time of admission, and future semester fees must be submitted before the commencement of the semester.
