Abour SPNIWCD

Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development (SPNIWCD) is a national institute working in the field of women and child development, counselling, and child welfare in India.   • BA or BSc in Psychology / Child Development / Social Work / Special Education / Community Resource Management / Development Communication Extension / Nursing from a recognised University with at least 5 years of experience working with children, or
  • BEd from a UGC recognized university with a minimum of 4 years of experience in working with children, or
  • The candidate must have studied English (major/elective/functional) at the 10+2 level or higher.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of children and their development through developmental, ecological, and rights-based perspectives. It helps learners apply theoretical knowledge and counselling skills while working with children and their families in individual, group, and community settings.

The program includes nine academic papers completed over 212 working days, followed by two months of internship to provide practical training and real-world counselling experience.

COMMON ENTRANCE TESTS

  • Admission is based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for the course offered at Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development, Delhi.
