About PGDRP (Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology)
The Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (PGDRP) is a one-year, full-time professional training programme recognized and approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The programme is designed to prepare graduates with the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to work as Rehabilitation Psychologists and Rehabilitation Counsellors with individuals having disabilities.
The course focuses on understanding the psychological, emotional, social, and behavioural needs of persons with disabilities and training professionals to provide evidence-based psychological assessment, counselling, rehabilitation planning, and intervention services. Students receive extensive exposure to supervised clinical practice, fieldwork, case management, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation settings, enabling them to work effectively with individuals having physical, sensory, intellectual, developmental, neurological, and psychosocial disabilities.

Graduates are trained to work in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, special schools, NGOs, mental health institutions, community rehabilitation programmes, educational institutions, and government organizations.
