PHD in Psychology
| Eligibility | A candidates must have a master’s degree in psychology or a related field with at least 55% aggregate marks. A 5% relaxation is granted for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently abled candidates, requiring 50% marks. |
| Selection procedure | The selection of candidates for the PhD program is primarily based on merit. This merit is derived from an Entrance Test and a subsequent Interview. 1. Entrance Examination (RET – Research Entrance Test): All eligible candidates must appear for the University-conducted PhD Entrance Test. Exceptions are made only for those specifically exempted. Exemption from Entrance Examination: Candidates are exempt if they have qualified for certain examinations. These exams include NET/JRF, SLET, GATE, GPAT, or equivalent examinations conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICHR/ICPR/ICSSR, etc. These candidates are exempted from the written entrance examination. Mode: The entrance test is conducted in offline mode Interview: It is mandatory for all shortlisted candidates. All candidates must appear for an interview. This includes both those who appeared for the entrance test and those who were exempted. |
