The Verdict: Is it worth it?
It may be regarded as a decent institution, particularly in terms of being a middle-level private university, with adequate infrastructure, competent faculty members, and a systematic teaching methodology. According to the feedback from the students, the institution manages to deliver quality in its core competencies of academics, faculty members, and infrastructure (4+ rating). It may be observed that placements may be decent for all types of courses offered by the institution. On the other hand, the institution, just like most private universities, may depend upon the department and practical exposure.
From a critical analysis, it may be stated that the institution may not be able to meet the benchmark set by high-end institutions such as TISS, DU or central universities. In other words, it may provide a solid foundation and degree, but the individual needs to make additional efforts to achieve practical exposure and internships in clinical psychology. In this manner, it may be regarded as a viable alternative, but if the aim is to have practical exposure and quality education, then it would be advisable to look for other options.
