About the University

The Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) is a central university established in 2018 by the Government of India in Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh, following the bifurcation of the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh. Situated in the historically significant Rayalaseema region, the university aims to provide quality, value-based, and multidisciplinary higher education through innovative academic programmes and experiential learning.

CUAP offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research opportunities across diverse disciplines including Psychology, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Management, Commerce, Economics, English, Political Science, Molecular Biology, and Space Science. About the Department

The Department of Psychology at Central University of Andhra Pradesh was established in 2021 with the aim of providing students with a strong foundation in psychological science and its practical applications. The department offers B.Sc. (Hons.) Psychology, M.Sc. in Applied Psychology, M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology, and Ph.D. programmes. Its curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on training through a well-equipped psychology laboratory, computerized psychological testing, internships, seminars, and research-oriented activities. Supported by experienced faculty members and a resource-rich library, the department fosters academic excellence, critical thinking, and professional development while attracting students from diverse regions of India.

• B.Sc. (Hons) Psychology
  

  • Admission Based on CUET UG General Aptitude Test (Paper Code: 501)
  • Eligibility:10+2 level of education(Intermediate/PUC/CBSE/ICSE/HSC or equivalent in Science/Arts/Commerce/ other streams) with 50% aggregate marks.
• M.Sc Applied Psychology

  • Eligibility:Bachelor’s degree with Psychology as a core paper in all years of their programme.Applicants must have an aggregate minimum of 50% marks and above from any recognized University in India or abroad recognized by UGC / AIU.

Application Process

1. Check Eligibility and Programme Details
   Review the eligibility criteria, available PG programmes, fee structure, and admission guidelines on the university website before applying.
2. Register for Admission Counselling
   Visit the admission portal and complete the registration process for the desired PG programme. Counselling registration is mandatory for admission consideration.
3. Create/Login to Your Account
   Register with the required details and log in using your credentials to access the application form.
4. Complete the Application Form
   Enter all personal, academic, category, and CUET-related information accurately as per your records.
5. Upload Required Documents
   Upload a scanned Photograph (<500 KB), Signature (<500 KB), Educational Documents (<1024 KB), and Experience/Category Certificates (<1024 KB) in the prescribed format and size.
6. Pay the Registration Fee
   Submit the counselling registration fee online:
   • UR/OBC/EWS: ₹600
   • SC/ST/DP: ₹300
   • PwD: No Fee
     Candidates applying for multiple programmes must register and pay separately for each programme.
7. Submit and Save the Application
   Review all details carefully, submit the application before 26 June 2026, and download/print the confirmation receipt for future reference.
